Person’s Story

My dad listens to country, some oldies and classic rock - if that helps for vibe. For my dad for Father’s Day - I am wanting to use this as a gift. Since I can’t really see him. Here is some back story for you. He is literally the best dad! He is strong and honest, always there for me. Always knows what to say. He worked hard to make sure I had a great life. Got to go to Europe, got a car, go to college, … everything you could ever ask for (imo). He and my mom were just not good together anymore (although I love them both so much!). My step mom is amazing too. She was diagnosed with early onset alzheimers at age 47 I think. He stays home with her now. The number 1 killer among Alz patients in pneumonia. So I cannot go over there and risk giving them Covid. She already has heart and lung problems that came on since she was diagnosed. So I haven't seen him in over 2 months. Now the terrible poem-ish thing I put together to try and give you some ideas lmao. You are going to have to work some serious magic on it (you know throw it all out and write something better!) She will never forget when she was little Racing down the hallway to play airplane You are her hero, so strong and mighty Those memories can never ever fade You always made sure She got to school safe and sound Listening to country music And dropping her off by the playground ____Possible CHORUS___ Times sure have changed Over the years She can’t always see you But you can still calm her fears ____ You have always been her rock Not just a father but her daddy She has always looked up to you And admired your integrity She can call you for directions to somewhere here in town or direction in life when hard things go down (this is kind of an inside joke. I call him for directions all the time). ____Possible CHORUS___ Times sure have changed Over the years She can’t always see you But you can still calm her fears ____
