Person’s Story

This is for my husbands 50th birthday on September 19, 2020. We met in San Francisco and have been married 20 years and together for almost 24 years. We met at a birthday party in the Marina district in San Francisco. He is was very shy and very beautiful (still beautiful). The think that struck me was his strength, great looks and sincere kindness. He also had a fantastic puka necklace on and I was mesmerized by his tan, smile and beautiful blue eyes. We dated for 3 years before we were married. On our first date, I made him shrimp scampi and brought 2 bottles of wine. I do think that scared him! We were married on a rainy day in Sausalito. It was a small wedding, but very meaningful and really began my true love for him. We lived in the bay area for a few years and then moved to Colorado. It was a difficult move, because we had 2 small children and no family in the area. We did have a really mean jack russell,we loved him dearly. BUT, we have made a wonderful life in Colorado. We have each other, terrific friends and 2 growing teens. They will be grown and flown soon enough. I make a very conscious effort to make the most of our dwindling time together with the kids. We have been fortunate to travel the world together - Thailand, Costa Rica, Spain, Mexico multiple times, across the US. Most recently we spent 2 weeks in Spain with our teenage children Ben and Serafina. They are our pride and joy. Our goal is to travel to Europe again and do it soon, before we get too old. We have lived and raised our children in Colorado and fortunate to have a home in Granby. It is a stunning area and we are beyond thankful for having this vacation home and hope to live there one day soon. He is a huge mountain biker. It makes me so happy to see him do this as often as he can. My love for him has increased every single day. I love him infinitely more today than early in our relationship. He is like Benjamin Button, looks younger and more beautiful every day. We have basically grown up together and he is the most wonderful father, husband, lover and best friend. His love for his family is deep and strong. I am the luckiest person in the world. I cant wait for the next 50 years with him. I thank my lucky stars every day that we met and connected. We are both very positive people and so lucky to have everything that we have together. Beautiful children 3 dogs and 3 cats.
