Person’s Story

Hi! This song is for my husband. He loves everything to do with the ocean and lakes and boats. He comes from a long line of men who lived on and loved the ocean. His great grandfather built a house on Jamestown which is an island in RI. There are rumors that his grandfather was a rum runner. His dad was in the coast guard and my husband is a naval architect. He loves everything about the ocean and knows all about water. He dreams of being a pirate. When we became a couple he devoted his love to our happiness and our family and that of our son, so the ocean is still a big part of his life but he always prioritizes our family. Hopefully someday he can return to boat building and being on the water as much as he likes but for now he's a family man and puts his heart into raising our family (daycare pickup, dishes, laundry, housework, and remodeling our home, you name it he's done it) so I can pursue my career. He still works as an engineer but took a stable job instead of one where he could be barefoot on the beach all day working on boats. Lol. He's teaching our son to love the ocean so maybe he'll pass down his love for boats and that will be his legacy...
